Humble beginnings..
Hello, there!
I have tussled with writing since I was a kid and walked away from it more than once.
When I was 12, I would write stories about a boy with superpowers rescuing the girl (or me) from nasty villains while falling in love. Little did I know then that I would walk away from writing only to come back to it years later.
Then came the travel rush era where suddenly the world was your oyster and with my hard-earned money I could see beyond the dingy four walls of a paying guest accommodation or even beyond the city where I was residing for my work. My parents had never taken my brother and me anywhere beyond their own hometown, so you can imagine the excitement. With travel, came the itch to start writing again about my travel experiences, especially focusing on budget travel. And I did that for a while. I lost the connection with it once COVID hit and my relationship with my ex ended. No surprise there!!
Fast forward 5 years later, I finally found the courage to start writing again while I enjoy the last few days of 2025. Thus, The Life Ledger was born.
The Life Ledger is a place where I write my learnings from books I read, lessons corporate life taught me (often the hard way), reflections on health, work, money, a few good recipes and the quiet mechanics of living well. I definitely don't want this to be a jumble of all good shit but I hope that you as a reader enjoy my writing and hopefully find my reflections helpful.
I haven't yet set a cadence for blog release, as I have a full-time job. In the beginning, I will aim to publish once every two weeks which seems to be a sweet spot for writing & reading without becoming overwhelmed.
Thanks for reading. See you in the margins.
